Bhutan Paro to Samrudjonkar

Overview

Journey through the heart of Bhutan and explore hidden valleys, ancient temples, and otherworldly landscapes on this epic 25-day adventure. From Paro to Samdrup Jongkhar, you will travel across some of the most remote parts of the country while embracing its cultural heritage, spiritual traditions, and natural wonders.

The journey starts in Paro with a visit to Tiger’s Nest Monastery before moving on to Thimphu, Punakha, Bumthang, Mongar, Trashigang, Tashiyangtse , and Samdrup Jongkhar. All along the way you’ll meet local communities and learn about their traditions—especially during festivals—visit stunning fortresses such as Punakha Dzong and Trashigang Dzong , hike through forests that are home to black-necked cranes and cloud leopards ,and learn from Bhutanese artisans who make intricate works of art by hand.

The physical landscapes of Bhutan change as you move east but stay just as beautiful. There are snow-capped peaks in Paro Valley , rolling hills covered in dwarf bamboo in Thimphu Valley , alpine meadows filled with yaks in Bumthang Valley ,and subtropical forests full of orchids in Samdrup Jongkhar Valley . And let’s not forget about the rivers that flow through these valleys. The country is known for its white-water rafting opportunities on them.

By the time you reach your final destination you will have seen how deeply rooted happiness is within this country. Everything they do is done with joy—even playing games—and they place it above all else aside from religion.

This isn’t just a tour; it’s an exploration into a world so different from what we know that it’ll stay imprinted forever.
